There is a journey....that most of us make.....it is a difficult journey at best. The map we have been given is often too simple for many of us to understand. What is the trick? There is no trick. Brain power is not a prerequiste for finding and following our own path. It is goodness, kindness, and love for our fellow man.

Ahh! So simple! What then is the problem?

Have you ever tried to be kind to a snarling old lady...who has nothing good to say about anyone? How about an abnoxious man who does nothing but yell? To compound the problem.....let these people be members of your family, your parents...grand-parents, someone related to you. Now, how simple is it? One solution....move to the otherside of the country, or the world, speak once a month on the phone, send greeting cards, presents, and show up for the funeral.

Something to remember: You can not change anyone else, you can only change yourself.

What do I want most........let's see......on a cold day.....I want to be warm, on a hot day.....I want to be cool, when I am thirsty ....I want a cool glass of water, when I am hungry....something to good to eat (no collard greens or fried grasshoppers :-) I want to be healthy, that is very important. There are all the everyday conveniences....I take for granted and would find it difficult to survive without.....running water, electricity, refrigerator, microwave, car, computer.....etc, etc, etc.

I am peeling an onion here.....what lies beneath the layers, what is at the heart? What is it that I want most? What do we all want most? Respect and love from those near us. What else? There is something else......what is it? When all our bodily needs and wants have been met...what surfaces?
